Manchester United team news

The red-devils had a “lucky” win against Tottenham Hotspurs in their first home match. The team looked quite average with plenty of places to improve. The lack of strikers was quiet clear, with a very low no. of shots on target. Even the goal was not a direct one, rather an own goal from the Spurs defender Walker. That may be another reason why, the Barcelona striker Pedro and the Spurs striker Kane is still linked to the Manchester Reds. However, Manchester United will again have to go with a single striker against Aston Villa. There are enough speculations about Rooney also, as the striker had failed to net no.s of sitters in the first match.

The high-invested mid-filed of Manchester United has not yet been seen in their top roll. This away fixture may present the United supporters the much needed Memphis Depay show. Anyway, it is needless to say with Young, Depay, Carrick, Schneiderlin, and Mata in the middle, United just needs to let them spark as a unit. Players like Bastian Schweinsteiger, Ander Herrera and Andreas Pereira may join as substitute. So, Aston will have to take care of such a vicious mid-field.

The defenders of Manchester United are also set enough though; Blind in his new position is struggling a bit. Smalling had an awesome match last time and Luke Shaw is also looking much influential than last season. But the most positive sign sown, in Manchester United’s defence was the newly signed former Torino defender Matteo Darmian. The player had a fantastic debut match in United’s jersey and is very much expected to keep the momentum going.

Sergio Romero also had a good Manchester United debut under the bars but there remains a chance that he can be benched this match, as David De Gea is showing much interest to play for his mother team.

Aston Villa team news

Aston Villa also has a real change going on inside the team. The new coach Tim Sherwood has brought a lot of new players in exchange of stars like Benteke, Delph and Weimann. Jordan Ayew has joined the team from League 1 as the highest invested player in the team. Alongside him there remains another new brought forward Rudy Gestede, who eventually scored the winner against Bournemouth last Sunday.

The team is going to play a very defensive role even in the home match against Manchester United. In the last 39 meetings Villa could only win once over their opponent. But tomorrow’s catch will be rarely different as both the new strikers are moving quiet good and are in scoring momentum. So, that would surely bring some pressure over United’s deep defence.
