Bayern Munich Injury Updates: Robben and Lewandowski in-front of question mark!

An apparent concussion threw Robert Lewandowski to hospital after the last night’s exit from the German domestic Cup.

After the post match press-conference the Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola clarified the 16th minute exit of Arjen Robben coming as a substitute and leaving the field with a tight calf. Pep said that the exit was heartbreaking but brought the truth

“He’s injured.”

Eventually the Dutch left footed winger got engaged in atackle against Dortmund’s central back Mats Hummels and left the pitch at 84th minute. Robben had recently suffered a five week side-line with an abdominal tear.

On the other hand in the death minutes of extra-time Dortmund Goalkeeper Mitch Langerak collided with Lewandowski making the Polish striker pain stricken on the ground. Anyhow Lewandowski completed the 120th minute game, but didn’t appear to take a shot in the shoot-out. Munich’s official website informs that the striker was hospitalised

“Directly after the game with a suspected concussion”

The Bayern Munich Injuries need to get clarified even more with urgent need but this surely gives Barcelona a blow of confidence after their thrashing 6-0 win against Getafe. An Injured Robben and sidelined Lewandowski will make Bayern very weak in front of the Spanish giants, who eventually are roaring down the pitch.

Now, if yourself is a Bayern supporter, I suggest you start praying, because Bayern will need their most opportunist striker down their attacking third against a stable Pique and Matheu.
