Cavani, the Uruguyan and PSG star seems like going to join London club Arsenal in the next few days. ‘The Metro’ quoted in Spain he was on the list of Arsene Wenger for some times now and seems like it is going to happen really.
Cavani Set to Join Arsenal in Next Few Days
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger primarily wanted Real Madrid star and one of their beloved member of attacking trio ‘BBC’ – Karim Benzema. But the Galacticos do not show any intention to let their star player to go to London and as the days are passing by Arsenal is becoming more and more skeptical about the move of the star and maybe there will be no move from the Real side. That is the reason Arsene Wenger is getting ready his alternatives to be inducted in his squad if the Karim Benzema deal go down through the drain. In this circumstances Real coach Rafael Benitez fueled Arsenal’s worry by letting hints as he said, “It’s that having alternatives in any position which always helps,” he also added,
“Benzema is a great player. And one of my ideas this year is that he exceeds the barrier of 20-25 goals. In that, I have put a lot of confidence.”
There is also a really good source that is telling that the Uruguyan striker is wanted the move as the relation between him and his manager at Paris Saint Germain, Laurent Blanc was decaying after they had fallen out in the last season and he is keen to play in the English Premier League for the first time in his career.
There is not any formal bid made by Arsenal right now. But the Paris based club would likely to ready themselves for an offer from London as the transfer window will close right after 12 days of time. The bid is expected to be around £35m, which is way cheaper than the Karim Benzema offer.
There is also another option as the alternative to Benzema and coincidentally he also comes from PSG, as Argentine forward Ezequiel Lavezzi. As The Express reported, the French giants want to get rid off Lavezzi and they offered him to Arsenal, Tottenham and West Ham.
There are also rumours that Arsenal could go for another PSG player and midfielder Marco Verratti, after he has gone ballistic and expressed that he is thinking to play in different league,
“England, Spain and a return to Italy are possible options.”
Perhaps Wenger will not really sign anyone in the striker position.
He said on the official Arsenal website Arsenal.com yesterday,
“We have good strikers. Walcott was not used today and he’s an exceptional striker, Welbeck is coming back, we have Alexis.”
“We have a strong striking force. What is important is that we show the team performance we have shown.”
“We had some very good moments in the game and going forward we were magnificent.”
The whole signing a striker for Arsenal situation is now in quiet a conundrum and the time is ticking away and the transfer window will be closed soon. So, Arsene Wenger has to make an important decision in the upcoming few days and it seems like that Cavani will end the conundrum for The Gunners.
P.s. it can be all rumour.
