Ah what a miss!! ISL loses Andrea Pirlo over Salary Issues!!!! Indian Super League tried to grab an opportunity by approaching one of the legends of football, Andrea Pirlo. But the deal could not work out, due to the salary issue. Now the 36-year old Juventus midfielder may join New York City FC for Major League Soccer next week.

As per the news, the Italian star was approached by one of the teams of ISL, to make him the marquee player for the second season of the ISL, this October. But due to the current salary cap the team could offer him only 20 crores, which is quite less than his current price at Juventus.
“He was open to the idea of playing in the ISL but won’t be coming because of the salary cap set by the league. The clubs in ISL won’t be able to afford him here. He has not said anything officially, but he is most likely to go to America”
Pirlo joining New York City FC
Pirlo will join the New York City FC of Major League Soccer next week and may be signing an 18-month contract with the club, could earn $6 million a season at New York City FC. The announcement may come this week.
