The Blues have registered a 2-0 win over Aston Villa in the Premier League game at the Stamford Bridge, winning only their 3rd game after 9 rounds. Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho made some eye-catching changes to his starting XI which includes dropping last season’s Best Player Eden Hazard.

The Belgian was under microscopes in the new season after Mourinho’s famous claim that his star is a better player last year than current Baloon d’Or holder Cristiano Ronaldo. But, Hazard did not live up to the expectations this year and now facing the wrath of his manager.

Jose Mourinho dropped Eden hazard for the important game against Villa and played new recruit, Pedro Rodriguez. Until the final whistle, the fans thought Hazard was ‘rested’, but after the game Jose Mourinho confirmed that dropping Eden Hazard was a ‘tactical’ decision.

The Portuguese also criticised the Belgian star for his lack of defensive duties and assured that he will continue to bench the Premier League’s Best Player if he does not improve his game ‘defensively’.

A lot of question may rise insisting the role of Eden Hazard which is primary to ‘attack’, but the manager asks him to ‘defend’ more. But we can not completely ignore the claims by Jose Mourinho considering the position of Chelsea in the Premier League table.

Chelsea are currently in the Eleventh spot, but may go further behind depending on the results of remaining fixtures. The Premier League Titleholders conceded more than any other Top teams of England and Mourinho wants that to change.

Jose Mourinho’s decision to drop Eden Hazard surely helped the team defensively as Pedro Rodriguez and Willian helped the team to defend more solid. But, in the frontline the absence of Eden Hazard was clearly felt as the attackers struggled to create much trouble to Villa defenders.

Pedro and Willian could have added more defensive solidity but have surely failed the team in the front. But, the warning has been sent and Eden Hazard should impress his manager to earn his starting berth.
