Juan Mata set for Spain return; United ready axe

Manchester United attacking midfielder Juan Mata is all set for a return to his homeland Spain after Atletico Madrid shown great interest to sign the former Valencia man.

Juan Mata, the former Chelsea superstar joined Manchester United after failing to impress former Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho. Juan Mata was one of the players that Mourinho fired immediately after getting the Chelsea job. The Portuguese had no interest in keeping the player or giving him enough chances to prove him as he sold him to Manchester United, keeping Brazilian talent Oscar instead of the two times consecutive ‘Chelsea Player of the Year’ award winner.

Jose Mourinho is set to te take over Manchester United in the coming summer according to numerous reports and even some very reliable sources are confirming that Mourinho may take over at United as soon as possible. Jose Mourinho’s alleged appointment has raised questions on Juan Mata’s Manchester United future as reports say the Spaniard will again be sold once Jose Mourinho arrives.

Atletico Madrid are the first to take the lead as they are reportedly readying a bid to lure the impressive Spaniard away from the Old Trafford before any of their fellow La Liga sides approach. Juan Mata is a talent built at the La Fabrica facilities of Real Madrid is considered as the best outcome from the Galacticos’ academy in recent past. Though he is not returning to his parent club as Real Madrid are not showing any interest in their own player, but the other Madrid side are ready to pounce.

European and SpainishChampions Barcelona are the other La Liga side to show interest on Juan Mata, but it is expected that Mata may prefer a move to Atletico where he can surely get more chances to play and prove him. With European Championship in the near site, switching to a club where you will get relatively fewer chances would be a bad idea and that gives Atletico the edge to sign Juan Mata.
