Kerala Blasters announced on Friday that former England team manager Peter Taylor to manage the side as the marquee manager in the 2nd season of the Indian Super League (ISL).

Peter Taylor has been the manager of Dartford, Southend United, Dover Athletic, Leicester City, Brighton and Hove Albion, Hull City, Crystal Palace, Stevenage Borough, Wycombe Wanderes, Brandford City, Gillingham and also managed England under 20 and Under 21 side.
As a manager he has won 13 trophies total. He took charge of the Bahrain National team in 2011 and led them to victory at the first GCC games in Manama. Bahrain had won a regional competition 1st time in their history and followed by a gold at the 2011 Arab Games in Doha. His winning percentage is 59.09 percent with U21 side, which is highest in his career and lowest with Gillingham.
In the interview Taylor said that ISL inaugural season was a huge success and he believes it will get better with time. It is the first foundation to nurture Indian football and all are trying to improve it from grassroots level. He is happy with system and policy. He also added:
“I’m personally impressed with the support that Kerala Blasters have received in the inaugural edition. Kerala has a strong legacy in Indian football and I am looking forward to working with the team and share the passion for football with the fans.”
Kerala Blaster performed very well in the inaugural season of ISL. In group stage they were in 4th position, beat Chennaiyin FC in semifinal but beaten by Atlético De Kolkata in final. In the 2nd edition of ISl, Peter will work with assistant coach Trevor Morgan.
