All Targets of Louis van Gaal as He is “Not Finished” Yet

After three consecutive signing of Manchester United and four in total, the United’s boss, Louis van Gaal is “not finished” yet in the transfer window to make the best squad for upcoming season. When some players like Gareth Bale and others have rejected the Old Trafford move, Matteo Darmian, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Morgan Schneiderlin and Memphis Depay have already signed a deal of Manchester United.

However, as Louis van Gaal insists that they need two more players in two different positions (striker and defense), here is a list of some Manchester United targets. Although, some of the news are rumour yet there are some confirmed news as well.

Manchester United Targets for Defense

Although, no current defender is leaving Manchester United, yet, they are trying to assign a new defender.

Nicolas Otamendi

Manchester United is in talk with Valencia to buy this Argentine center back. Although, there is no such official news for Otamendi, yet, some people think that he is closer to move to Old Trafford following his absence for the new kit launch of Valencia. It seems, Otamendi has refused to make a new deal with his current club and he is willing to join Manchester United.

Sergio Ramos

Iker Casillas and Sergio Ramos

Sergio Ramos has been under the radar of Louis van Gaal throughout the entire transfer window. Manchester United has reportedly made a €45 million bid for this Spanish defender. Although, Spanish media has almost confirmed this news, yet, the Real Madrid’s boss Rafael Betinez has confirmed that Ramos is not going to leave in this season.

I see Sergio as an integral part of our team. He’s a winner and that’s what we need.

The president has already commented that he is staying with the club.

To make the Spanish media wrong, the club can make Ramos the Real’s captain since Iker has left Real Madrid. At the same time, Ramos is a part of Real Madrid’s pre-season tour of China and Australia.

Manchester United Targets for Striker

Some important players have become the target of Manchester United in this summer transfer window. As Di Maria may leave United for PSG, Falcao has already signed a deal with Chelsea, Robin Van Persie has left for Fenerbahçe, they need another player to make this squad complete.

Edinson Cavani

Edinson Cavani

As a replacement of Robin Van Persie, Louis van Gaal has made Cavani a target for United. This PSG’s striker is always played vital role for club as well as Uruguay. After a sensational performance in Copa America, Louis van Gaal will obviously try harder to get him into his squad. This 28 years old striker was appeared in 65 matches for PSG and scored 34 goals with many assists, what is enough to knock LVG’s attention.

Robert Lewandowski

Robert Lewandowski

Obviously, Lewandowski is not better than Rooney’s best performance for Manchester United but he is more accordant than the English international. As Rooney will be shifted to midfield throughout the entire upcoming season, Manchester United needs a striker like Lewandowski. Although, Manchester United made a bid for this key player of Bayern Munich, yet, that was rejected by this player because of amount. He needs more than €50 million, according to his agent for an Old Trafford move. However, it makes sense to pay such amount for a consistent player like Lewandowski.

Felipe Anderson

After a “failed” £18 million bid for this attacking midfielder, this 22 years old Brazilian midfielder has been under the radar since he spent a good season at Lazio. In June, Manchester United’s £18 million was rejected but, now they are trying to make anew bid of £30 million for this attacking midfielder. Manchester United boss has not told anything, though.

Final Word

Manchester United is in need of a striker and defender. Therefore, this is going to a crucial situation for this English club if they failed to do so. There is very less chance of that since van Gaal will not fail for sure.
