ISL season 2 is knocking at the door. After the successful auction of the domestic players for ISL 2 on 10th July the list of the domestic players joining different teams is done. Now it is a matter of curiosity how many of this year’s I- League champion Mohun Bagan reigned in ISL auction. Let’s take a tour to the players of Mohun Bagan signed for Different ISL Teams.
List of the Mohun Bagan Players in Different ISL Teams
Mohun Bagan Players in Pune City FC

Mohun Bagan Players in FC Goa
Bikramjit Singh: 22 years old defensive midfielder of Mohun Bagan FC who showed his potential in I-League by scoring his first goal against Bengaluru FC with a long range shot only to make his team win in 4-1. He has joined the Pune side in ISL2.
Raju Gaikwad: 24 years old centre back for Mohun Bagan is now part of FC Goa. Raju won against Myanmar’s U23s in the 2012 Olympic Qualifiers in his debut performance for the India U23 team. Joined MohunBagan this year from their rival club EastBengal.
Mohun Bagan Players in Mumbai City FC
Debjit Majumder: becomes part of Mumbai City FC as a goalkeeper with a satisfactory amount of 15 lakh. Debjit is an excellent player of Mohun Bagan FC and was awarded the Best Goalkeeper of I-League 2015. He has also been given the Best performer of the season award by his club. Atk tried to have him, but Mumbai won the race.
Kingshuk Debnath: 30 years old defender for Mohun Bagan A.C. was part of Atletico de Kolkata in the inaugural year of ISL. But this year is talented player has become part of Mumbai FC. Ranbir Kapoor sure had a visual onI-League winning team.
Subhash Singh: 25 years old striker was an active player of Mumbai FC in ISL season 1. There he appeared in 12 matches and scored against Pune City FC. His talent and cobstant performance made him Mumbai FC’s repeated choice for ISL2.
Mohun Bagan Players in Chennaiyin FC
Balwant Singh: 28 years old Mohun Bagan striker is a very favourite player for Chennaiyin FC. Last year he appeared for 14 matches against FC Goa. Let’s wish him all the best for his journey in ISL for the second time.
Jeje Lalpekhlua: 24 years forward Jeje too was a part of Chennaiyin FC last year.
Dhanachandra Singh: part of in I-League champion in 2015 Mohun Bagan, this 28 years left back was also part of Chennaiyin FC last year played against Oman for the 2018 World Cup qualifier match.
Wow no doubt Chennaiyin FC is too interested in I-League winners.
Mohun Bagan Players in Delhi Dynamos
Souvik Chakraborty : 23 years old central midfielder Souvik Chakraborty was part of I-League winning squad and also Delhi Dynamos in ISL 1. This year too he has joined the Delhi squad.
Sehnaj Singh: Sehnaj signed for Mohun Bagan in 2014 and helped the team in winning I-League in 2015. As per for DelhiDynamoes, he is not a new name in the squad as he was in the team last year too.
Mohun Bagan Players Gone Unsold in ISL 2
The names enlisted in this part is most shocking and startling. Can you imagine the ‘captain’ of I-League winning team in 2015 is gone unsold in ISL 2?
Shilton Pal: 27 years old goalkeeper and captain of Mohun Bagan who brought the I-League trophy in 2015 was left unsold in ISL 2 auction on 10th July. Strangely he was part of Chennaiyin FC last year and appeared in 4 matches. The reason behind such a situation of being unsold is still unknown. But it definitely raises a very important issue. What are the criteria, most important to become part of the ISL where the top most talented players are gone unsold?
Pankaj Moula: same fate for another capable player who can bring the I-League trophy but unacknowledged in Indian Super League. A defender of I-League winning team is not needed in any teams of ISL. Is it unfortunate or sheer ignorance?
Atlético de Kolkata without any players of Mohun Bagan Players
Another heart ranching fact. Atlético de Kolkata did not care to buy any player of not only Mohun Bagan but also the rival East Bangal. The Kolkatan team doesn’t find the Bengali players eligible for the squad.
It again gives quite a reason for debate. If the home team does not find it fit to take their own player who will give them opportunity and stage to display their talent.
Criticism against Atlético de Kolkata
Atlético de Kolkata is more into business than promoting talents. This is the most buzzing issue in ISL. And while the football fans of Kolkata will not deny the fact, other teams have openly admitted that Atlético de Kolkata is about promoting themselves rather than giving opportunities to the deserving players
ISL auction for this season is over and teams are almost final and now it is only a matter of time to start the biggest football fever of India. ISL 2 is going to start from 3rd October. And we are happy to see a bunch of talented and deserving Mohun Bagan Players in Different ISL Teams.
But all these excitement is being deemed for many football fans seeing indifference towards some of the legendary Indian players who proved themselves again and again. But fail to grab attention in the biggest football event of India.
