The contenders of the PFA player of the year has been announced. Eden Hazard, David De Gea, Diego Costa, Philippe Coutinho, Harry Kane and Alexis Sánchez are the six players, who are nominated by Professional Footballers’ Association Players’ this year. Chelsea is the only club which have two contenders. Eden Hazard is the only one from last year to make the shortlist for the award.
They all performed brilliantly in this Premier League season. Here is their season analysis and stats so far:
Eden Hazard (CHELSEA)
The 24 year Belgian has been fantastic for Chelsea since the day he joined the club from Lille. He won the Young Player of the Year award last year and also been nominated in senior award section.
He is the main man in this Chelsea side, one of the reason for their good run in EPL. He is fantastic dribbler, got brilliant pace and control. Hazard topped the chart in creating chances, he created 88 chances till date, also completed 148 dribbles, which is 46 more than anyone else in UK.
And also tops the charts for no. of touches in the opposition box. He also suffered more fouls in the league, which proves how dangerous he is for opponent defenders.

David De Gea (MANCHESTER UNITED)
The Spanish international enjoyed his best season in Manchester United this season. Without any doubt De Gea has been the best player in the team. When nothing is going right for them, he was the only man there giving them hope, inspiring the team and providing crucial points.
He didn’t hesitate to receive the ball from defender even in pressure situations. His catch success rate is 100%.

Diego Costa (CHELSEA)
Diego Costa, the Brazilian born Spanish striker, has been one of the best signing of this year. Jose Mourinho brought him at £32m from Atletico Madrid. His addition to the team proves what Chelsea had been missing last season.
He made a brilliant start in EPL, scored seven goals in his first four Premier League appearances, including a hat-trick at home to Swansea.
Costa has been criticized so many time for his aggression, behavior on field but nobody can denies his commitment towards team. He is a team player, hard worker, strong mentality and ready to do defensive works for the team.

Alexis Sanchez (ARSENAL)
Arsenal signed Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona with the amount of £35m on last summer. The Chilean proves his worth immediately, scored the crucial goal in their Champions League qualifier against Besiktas.
Apart from that he enjoys a fantastic season with Arsenal in EPL. He has done all-round job for his team, not only goals and assists but also pressing, chasing and tracking back. He is sole reason for Arsenal’s god run in this season.

Harry Kane (TOTTENHAM)
The 21 year English striker is a breakout performer of this season EPL. Harry Kane surprises all by his brilliant performance. He has been the best player for Spurs throughout the season, racked up 29 goals in all competitions, 14 goals in 2015.
He is young, focused, and strong with great potential. He earned his cap for England, scores within 79 seconds in his debut match against Lithuania. He is the leading scorer in EPL along with Costa and Sergio Aguero.

Philippe Coutinho (LIVERPOOL)
Philippe Coutinho has been phenomenal for Liverpool this season. This 22 years old Brazilian attacking midfielder has produced so many memorable performance for Brendon Rogers’s Liverpool this season and earn them crucial points.
He is the reason Liverpool is fighting for the top 4 spot in the EPL. He scored screams against Southampton and Man City, also scored the winner against Blackburn sent Liverpool to the FA Cup semi-final in Wembley.
In absence of Daniel Sturridge, he has taken the responsibility and lived up with the expectations of his manager and fans, his performance cannot be judged only by goals or assists.

Exclusion of Sergio Aguero is a controversial decision, he scored 19 goals and assisted 6 for Manchester city in only 24 appearances in EPL. His performance in UCL was brilliant, scored 6 goals in 6 matches. It is a shock for all, as he is not in that list.
According to FootballLens prediction, it will be a tough fight between Hazard and De Gea, Eden hazard will be the winner of this year PFA player of the year.
