Real Madrid interested in signing Leicester City midfielder N’Golo Kante who is dubbed as the ‘new Claude Makelele’. Kante who is also French is largely expected to fill in the boots left by the former Galactico of Real Madrid in the France national team. Claudio Ranieri who is coaching the 24-year old at Leicester City currently has named the player as ‘Claude Makelele of Leicester City’.
Kante is valued at just 10m Euros but considering the player’s form and his value to the current English Premier Leaders, his transfer fee may be even tripled. But can money stop Real Madrid from pursuing a player? definitely NOT. The Spanish giants will splash the cash if they want a player. Also, 30m Euros is a fee that Real Madrid spent for their backup players. Real Madrid is the world’s richest football club and Kante’s transfer fee is not a big deal for the Los Blancos.
Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is a big admirer of his old France and Real Madrid team-mate Claude Makelele and he always preferred to play alongside the veteran. Kante who possesses a lot of similar attributes to his former has attracted the French maestro who is now willing to sign the player once the summer transfer window is open.
Leicester City are making history in the English Premier League as they are marching towards the EPL crown with an unbeatable 5 points lead at the top of the table. Kante along with forwards Jamie Vardy and Mahrez are the major reasons for the team’s success. Real Madrid are also chasing Mahrez who is expected to sign a new deal with the EPL leaders and the most probable winners of EPL 2015-16, Leicertsre City.
Real Madrid are no short for a midfielder especially with young players Casemiro, Kovacic in the squad, but Zidane’s preference to play a player who can propel the whole team with his energy in the center of the pitch may lead Real Madrid to sign the Leicester City midfielder. So far, Kante is really the ‘new Claude Makelele ‘ but will he continue his amazing play if given a chance at a club like Real Madrid where the pressure to deliver in each and every game is so high.
